Not sure which ramp you need? To choose a ramp for wheelchair access, measure the total height from the ground to the top of the step or threshold (the "rise"), then match it to the chart below. Want a personal recommendation? Answer a few quick questions in our Ramp Wizard.
Whether you are recovering from surgery, caring for a parent or planning to age in place, a wheelchair ramp for your house makes getting in and out safer for wheelchairs, scooters, walkers and rollators. Start with threshold ramps for doorways, or step up to aluminum wheelchair ramp kits for porches and stairs. Most kit installations need no concrete footings.
Metal ramps for homes are a low-maintenance alternative to wood. A metal ramp for your house, such as the welded aluminum PATHWAY 3G, will not rot, rust or splinter. It holds up to 1,000 lbs and is backed by a lifetime residential warranty. See how the two materials compare in our wood vs aluminum ramp guide.
Lightweight folding SUITCASE ramps set up in seconds and carry like a suitcase. Use them for vans, curbs, friends' homes and anywhere you go.
The Americans with Disabilities Act requires most businesses and organizations open to the public to provide accessible entrances. The PATHWAY HD modular ramp system and PATHWAY HD ADA stairs are built for commercial use and designed around ADA slope, landing and handrail requirements. Review the ADA ramp slope requirements, and ask about tax-exempt ordering.
FORTRESS OSHA steps provide safe access to modular offices, construction trailers and job sites. For moving equipment and carts, see our portable loading ramps for trucks, trailers and curbs.

Rise ranges for portable ramps assume an assistant is helping. For independent wheelchair use, plan on 1 foot of ramp for every inch of rise (a 1:12 slope). See our ramp sizing guide for details.
Measure the rise from the ground to the top surface. For independent wheelchair use, the ADA standard is a 1:12 slope, or 1 foot of ramp for every inch of rise. A 10 inch rise needs about a 10 foot ramp. Portable ramps used with an assistant can be shorter. Our sizing guide and Ramp Wizard walk you through it.
Yes. Free ground shipping is included on orders shipped to the contiguous United States. Most orders arrive in 3 to 5 business days. Larger items ship by truck and may require a delivery appointment and signature. See shipping information.

It depends on your city, county and the type of ramp. Portable and threshold ramps usually do not need a permit, while larger installed ramps sometimes do. Check with your local building department, and see our ramp codes guide.
The PATHWAY HD system is designed for commercial ADA applications, with the slope, landings and handrails the ADA calls for when configured correctly. Call us and we can help lay out a ramp for your entrance.
